KOLAKA – PT Elnusa Petrofin (EPN), a subsidiary of PT Elnusa Tbk, held a groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of Pertamina’s Liquefied Petroleum Gas Terminal (TLPG) project in Kolaka Regency, Southeast Sulawesi, on Friday, November 26, 2021. The project is located in the southeast Pertamina Kolaka Fuel Terminal, in the Kolakaasi area.
The groundbreaking by EPN is an effort to support Pertamina in ensuring the availability of LPG in Southeast Sulawesi following the Decree of the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources 2157 K/lO/MEM/2017 regarding the construction of LPG storage facilities and infrastructure.
The ceremony was attended by President Director of PT Elnusa Petrofin, Haris Syahrudin, along with other Board of Directors of Elnusa Petrofin, VP Joint Terminal Service Operation Commercial & Trading Subholding of PT Pertamina Patra Niaga, Isnanto Isnanto Suseno, Executive GM Marketing Operation Region Pertamina, Sulawesi Agus Dwi Djatmoko. In addition, Kolaka Regent, Ahmad Safei, was also present along with the Kolaka Regency Coordination Forum of Head of Administrative Area (Forkominda) and related heads of services.
The Kolaka LPG Terminal will be integrated with the Kolaka Fuel Terminal with a land area of approximately 9,589 m2 for the location of TLPG facilities and an area of 2,718 m2 for the construction of LPG Terminal facilities. So, the total area for the construction of the Kolaka LPG Terminal is 12,000 m2.
The construction of the Kolaka LPG Terminal includes a Spherical Tank with a capacity of 2 x 1,500 MT with complete facilities for LPG pumps, a Loading Bay to LPG Skid tanks, and adequate operational support facilities. It is estimated that this project will be completed within 24 months.
Haris Syahrudin, as President Director of PT Elnusa Petrofin, said that the presence of the LPG Terminal is expected to be able to support the fulfillment of LPG needs in Southeast Sulawesi encourage the acceleration of the local economy.
The same thing was conveyed by VP Joint Terminal Service Operation Subholding Commercial & Trading PT Pertamina Patra Niaga, Iswanto Suseno. “This groundbreaking is part of Pertamina Group’s commitment to national energy sovereignty. We thank all parties for developing the Kolaka LPG Terminal,” concluded Iswanto.
Kolaka Regent, Ahmad Safei, welcomed the construction of the Kolaka LPG Terminal. He hopes that the fulfillment of LPG needs will be better in the future and create new and beneficial opportunities for all levels of Kolaka society.
On this occasion, a symbolic CSR was also given to the Nursyamzam Islamic Education Foundation as a form of Elnusa petrofin’s concern for education in the region.*EPN
