JAKARTA – PT Pertamina Hulu Indonesia (PHI), as the Kalimantan Region Upstream Subholding, held a booster dose of COVID-19 vaccination for workers and families in the PHI environment on Saturday and Sunday, January 22-23, 2022, at the Udaya Graha Elnusa room, South Jakarta. This vaccination is PHI's commitment to continue to support government programs in breaking the chain of COVID-19 transmission in Indonesia.
This third vaccination is expected to increase immunity and protection for workers and families against COVID-19, including the new variant of Omicron. With no certainty that the pandemic will end, additional vaccination (booster) is needed.
The vaccination was a collaboration with the Jakarta Provincial Health Office, South Jakarta Health Sub-dept., Pasar Minggu Sub-district Health Center, and Pertamedika IHC Clinic. There were 374 participants who were vaccinated during two days of vaccination activity. This event was also attended by the President Director of PHI, Chalid Said Salim.
On this occasion, Chalid expressed PHI's commitment to government programs to accelerate the vaccination program and establish herd immunity. In addition, Chalid hopes this vaccination can increase immunity and body protection against COVID-19 for workers and their families to remain productive and reduce morbidity and mortality rates due to COVID-19.
"As an effort to prevent and control the spread of COVID-19 in the Company's operational environment and consider the effectiveness of giving a booster dose of COVID-19 vaccination, all Perwira (Pertamina officers) and their families are required to participate in this additional vaccination activity. We continue to remind all participants to consistently stick to the health protocols wherever they are, which is the key in overcoming the COVID-19 pandemic," concluded Chalid. *SHU-PHI
