As said by the Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment, Luhut Binsar Panjaitan, on the opening of Pertamina SMEXPO 2020 on Wednesday (9/9), he appreciates this event as it saves the MSMEs from the pandemic.
"Pertamina has given their support, from a business capital loan, marketing, and now arranging a virtual market, that is Pertamina SMEXPO 2020. This event is one important breakthrough to help MSMEs survive," he said.
The Minister of Cooperatives and SMEs, Teten Masduki, also praised Pertamina's way of showing concern by holding this event as a business event for MSMEs.
"During this pandemic, many MSMEs are stumbling. Pertamina SMEXPO 2020 can help MSMEs to rise and be productive in seizing opportunities. They learn to adapt to new habits and operate changing business patterns. SMEXPO also expands market access, both domestically and internationally. The love for local products is getting higher. It becomes a contribution to the national program, Bangga Buatan Indonesia (Proud to be Made in Indonesia)," he said.
Also, the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy, Wishnutama Kusubandio, hopes that this event can become a promotional event for local Indonesian products.
"Congratulations for Pertamina SMEXPO 2020. By utilizing technology in this new normal period, it can be a place to promote products from their respective regions. Let's show the best potential of the nation's children who make Indonesia proud," he said.
Similar support also came from the Deputy Minister of SOEs, Budi Gunadi Sadikin. He fully supports Pertamina, which is the largest SOE, in its active role in supporting Indonesian MSMEs. "This is a step to support MSME players so that the economy will rise from the pandemic. Pertamina has long shown its commitment to support MSMEs to be independent. From this event, Pertamina made a breakthrough so that MSMEs were digitally literate. Empowerment of MSMEs can still be carried out, the market reach is wide, not only for the domestic market but also for foreign markets," he added.
