Jakarta, June 19, 2021 – Pertamina has done seven programs to help Micro and Small Enterprises (MSE) become independent, developed, and upgraded in 2020. Pertamina’s fostered MSEs partner can quickly adapt to Covid-19 and maximizing digital technology. Furthermore, many of Pertamina’s fostered partners had already upgraded and gone global, allowing their products to penetrate the export market.
Pertamina’s effort in supporting Go Global MSE is carried out through the Pertamina SMEXPO Virtual Exhibition Program, which showcased 1.780 varieties of products from 100 fostered partners. SMEXPO was visited by 32.472 visitors from 38 countries in three days. SMEXPO became an MSEs business forum with a global market. Pertamina SMEXPO also achieved an award from MURI as a Virtual Expo with most product choices in Indonesia.
The second program that Pertamina carried out to support MSEs to upgrade was by conducting digital training. A total of 209 training have been held by Pertamina attended by 11.955 MSEs, as well as 33 exhibitions attended by 292 MSEs. It has encouraged 795 MSEs to upgrade, with 621 MSEs receiving certificates and business licenses, 254 MSEs getting an increase in turnover, and 61 MSEs succeeding in Go Global.
Third, Pertamina has also run UMK Academy Fast Track Program, which is carried out Go Modern, Go Digital, Go Online, and Go Global MSEs classes. A total of 162 from 290 MSEs that participated have graduated from the UMK Academy Fast Track Program.
“MSEs are the backbone of the community’s economy. Therefore, they must receive support to improve, independent, and be known globally. The products of Pertamina’s fostered MSEs have been proven to be able to compete in the global market,” said Acting Senior Vice President of Corporate Communication & Investor Relations of Pertamina, Fajriyah Usman.
Fajriyah added that Pertamina also conducted Covid Adaptive MSEs program to utilize MSEs products fostered by Pertamina in handling with Covid-19. In this fourth program, Pertamina has sold IDR 17,15 billion worth of products from 596 MSEs that are Covid-19 Adaptive supported by Pertamina.
Through the fifth program, Pertamina maximized 30 Rumah BUMN Pertamina across various regions of Indonesia by conducting online training 179 times, which was attended by 8.633 MSEs registered in rumah-bumn.id
In the sixth program, Pertamina provided funds for MSEs in the tourism sector, especially in 5 Super Priority Tourism Destinations. Facilitated by the Coordinating Ministry for Maritime & Investment Affairs, Pertamina has distributed partnership program funds of IDR 21,66 billion for 237 MSEs in the tourism sector.
Pinky Movement Program is the seventh program conducted by Pertamina, which assists LPG 3 kg outlets interested in selling Non-Subsidized LPG or Bright Gas. Pertamina has distributed funds of IDR 48,38 billion to 467 outlets and 146 small businesses.
“This program received an award from Ministry of SOE as Best of The Best in Sustainability category and the main winner with Gold Predicate in CSV category at the BUMN Corporate Communication and Sustainability Summit (BCOMSS) 2021, as well as Top 10 Millenials Innovation Summit in Ministry of SOE in 2020,” stated Fajriyah.
Pertamina also constantly supports SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals) point 8 achievements, through ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) based programs implementation in all operational areas.
