Jakarta, December 19, 2020 - Pertamina announced 24 national Anugerah Jurnalistik Pertamina (AJP) champions, which were officially presented through the virtual AJP 2020 Award, Saturday, December 19, 2020. AJP 2020 was participated by 2,300 journalists work from all over Indonesia, from Aceh to Papua. Amid the pandemic, the number has increased compared to last year's 2,214 works.
In this AJP 2020 event, Pertamina's CSR publication with the title "Berkarya Tanpa Bicara" won the highest award, Best of The Best. North Sulawesi Metro TV journalist Amanda Komaling managed to outperform the best work from 10 territories who won first place in each category.
President Director of Pertamina, Nicke Widyawati, expressed her gratitude for fellow journalists' participation in the Anugerah Jurnalistik Pertamina 2020.
"This event is a program consistently implemented by Pertamina every year as a token of appreciation to fellow journalists for their cooperation over the years," said Nicke in her remarks virtually, Saturday (19/12).
This year, added Nicke, was a year full of challenges for all of us because of the Covid-19 pandemic. Pertamina is no exception, which has been impacted in their business sector, from upstream to downstream. However, thanks to hard work, collaboration, efficiency, and innovation, Pertamina continues to record positive performance.
"We are aware that we can pass all the challenges, one of which is also because of the support of fellow journalists in providing positive and constructive information. In the future, I hope that our existing cooperation can run even better. Together with Pertamina, let us continue to work hand in hand to provide positive energy for our nation and country," added Nicke.
In line with Nicke, President Commissioner of Pertamina, Basuki Tjahaja Purnama, congratulated journalists who won the Anugerah Jurnalistik Pertamina.
"I hope this award will motivate members of the press to continue working, especially in publishing news that is honest, constructive, transparent, and of course without any mistakes, without any intervention to the wider community," said Basuki.
Basuki added that journalists' role is critical to fighting the rampant hoax news spread through various platforms.
"So once again, we are very grateful for the collaboration, good cooperation with fellow journalists and Pertamina. Hopefully, through this AJP, Pertamina's cooperation with journalists will increase. Once again, congratulations to AJP winners," added Basuki.
