Jakarta, February 28, 2022 – Pertamina, through PT Pertamina Patra Niaga, Sub Holding Commercial & Trading of PT Pertamina (Persero), made price adjustments for non-subsidized LPG, such as Bright Gas. Howerver, there was no change in price for the subsidized 3 Kg LPG. This price adjustment is done following the Contract Price Aramco (CPA) increase, which is one of the benchmarks for determining LPG prices, which in February reached 775 USD/metric ton, or increasing around 21% from the average CPA price throughout 2021.
"For 3 kg subsidized LPG, which is more than 93% of the total national LPG consumption as of January 2022, there is no change in price. The price of subsidized LPG 3 Kg still refers to the Highest Retail Price (HET) set by the local government," said Acting Corporate Secretary of Pertamina Patra Niaga, Irto Ginting.
Irto continued that the price adjustment only applies to non-subsidized LPG, which is consumed by 7% of the total national LPG consumption. The price adjustment, which takes effect on February 27, 2022, is carried out following the latest developments in the oil and gas industry.
With this adjustment, the current non-subsidized LPG price is around Rp. 15,500 per Kilogram (Kg). This price adjustment has taken into account the conditions and capabilities of the non-subsidized LPG market. Besides that, this price is still the most competitive compared to other countries in ASEAN.
