Finance Director of Pertamina Patra Niaga Reviews Petrol Station Digitization System to Anticipate Fuel Shortage

December 23, 2022 - Finance Director of Pertamina Patra Niaga, Arya Suprihadi, directly observed the digitalization implementation at Yogyakarta and Semarang's petrol stations (19/12). This activity aims to ensure that petrol station facilities and infrastructure run smoothly ahead of Christmas 2022 and New Year 2023.

The petrol stations visited were Jombor Ring Road Yogyakarta 43.552.18 petrol station, Pawiyatan Semarang 44.502.26 petrol station, and Perintis Kemerdekaan Semarang 44.502.02 petrol station.

Arya said that Pertamina would always maximally provide services to the community. For this reason, with the Digitizing petrol stations implementation, namely the Auto Replenishment system, fuel stocks will continue to be maintained.

This Auto Replenishment System is End-to-end automation of the fuel supply process from the depot to the petrol station by using stock data, petrol station sales data in real-time, as well as information on the distance and delivery time of the tanker to determine the reorder point.

Area Manager Communication, Relations, and CSR of PT Pertamina Patra Niaga, Brasto Galih Nugroho, explained that the Auto Replenishment system's main benefit is that Pertamina can monitor product stock available at each petrol station. The sooner the stock level is known, the faster the fuel will be distributed to prevent potential fuel shortages at petrol stations.

In terms of supply reliability, through digitizing petrol stations in real-time, sales monitoring can be carried out, monitoring fuel receipts when loading and unloading from tank cars (MT), and developing an automatic schedule for fuel delivery to petrol stations," said Brasto.

Brasto explained that in the Central Java, 875 petrol stations had implemented the Auto Replenishment system. Central Java has 754 petrol stations, and Yogyakarta Special Region has 121 petrol stations.

"This petrol station digitization program will continue to be developed for all petrol stations, especially in Central Java and the Special Region of Yogyakarta," said Brasto.

Fuel Stock Resilience at Christmas and New Year

During the Christmas 2022 and New Year 2023 task forces period, it is predicted that there will be at least an increase in demand of around 8 percent for Gasoline and 1.5 percent for Gasoil (diesel) compared to the daily average for October 2022.

Currently, the fuel stock and distribution are sufficient and running smoothly. Pertamina is committed to guaranteeing fuel availability during the 2022 Christmas Task Force and the 2023 New Year.**
