Gaslink C-Cyl Strengthens Pertamina Gas Subholding Natural Gas Services

Jakarta, December 14, 2021 – One of Pertamina's Gas Subholding affiliates, PT Gagas Energi Indonesia (Gagas), repackaged Gaslink C-Cyl on Tuesday, December 14, 2021. Gaslink C-cyl is Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) for industrial and commercial customers distributed using 20-25 M3 cylinders or equivalent to 20 Kg.

Director of Sales and Operations of PGN, Faris Aziz, explained that Gaslink C-cyl will further expand the use of natural gas, especially for customers who are still not covered by piped gas, both for the industrial and commercial sectors including MSMEs. Therefore, they can experience the benefits and advantages of natural gas. "For that, we provide Gaslink and Gaslink C-cyl operated by Gagas," explained Faris (14/12/21).

Faris added that Gaslink C-cyl is displayed in a more practical and attractive packaging for customers. There is also a box-shaped Gaslink C-cyl with a larger capacity of around 50 M3. As of November 2021, Gagas has distributed around 4.84 BBTUD to 161 Gaslink customers.

Gagas introduced Gaslink C-cyl as an alternative to delivering Gaslink in early 2021. It is aimed at clients who do not have a lot of lands and only need a small amount of natural gas (around 300 M3 per month). For the regular Gaslink distribution scheme, Gagas will distribute natural gas through the Gas Transport Module (GTM), which carries natural gas from the SPBG directly to the customer's location.

Customers have responded positively to the Gaslink C-cyl since its launch. Until December 2021, Gaslink C-cyl supplied consumers from diverse industrial sectors, restaurants, and hotels in Jakarta, Tangerang, Surabaya, and Lampung with an average of 0.025 BBTUD every month. Gaslink C-cyl plans to expand its service to Semarang, Cilegon, and Batam.

One of the Gaslink C-cyl users who have experienced the benefits of using Gaslink is the Morning Sore Sunter Restaurant. Bambang, Operations Manager of the Morning Sore Sunter Restaurant, said that apart from being safer, Gaslink C-cyl can provide an efficiency of around 10%-15% compared to fuel in the cooking process. "The payment scheme is also easy. We use the gas first and then pay," he said.

During a visit to the Morning Sunter Restaurant, President Director of Gagas, Muhammad Hardiansyah, explained that Gaslink C-cyl is a natural gas distribution alternative based on the HER (Honest, Efficient, and Reliable) principle.

"In addition to targeting industrial and commercial targets, we also aim at Gaslink C-cyl primarily for customers in the MSME sector. We hope that the various facilities offered by Gaslink C-cyl, including the payment system, can provide added value for its users," he concluded.**
