Homecoming, the First Self-service Petrol Station is Available at the Balsam Toll Road in East Kalimantan

Balikpapan, May 2, 2022 – To provide better services during the Eid al-Fitr homecoming holiday, PT Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional Kalimantan presents the first self-service petrol station service in East Kalimantan that provide the cashless payment.

Area Manager of Communication & CSR Kalimantan Region, Susanto August Satria, said that the first self-service petrol station was at the KM 36A Balsam (Balikpapan-Samarinda) toll and started operating on Wednesday (20/4). "The petrol stations on the Balsam toll are fully self-service. It is one of Pertamina's efforts to welcome the concept of digitization and transparency for the community," Satria said.

Satria also revealed the increasing use of e-payments prompted Pertamina to use the cashless payment concept. That is expected to make cashless payment easier. "Self-service petrol stations are equipped with cashless services following the increase of cashless environment that dominates transactions. Of course, we try to provide services according to th ecommunity needs," said he. The Balsam KM 36A self-service petrol station serves Dexlite, Pertadex, Pertamax, and Pertamax Turbo fuel products.

On the other hand, in order to support the community's convenience during homecoming travels for Eid al-Fitr, Pertamina also presents a Modular Gas Station on the Balsam toll, lane KM 36B. Modular SPBU is Pertamina's official distribution agency with facilities that adapt to the needs in the field.

Satria stated that the Modular SPBU had been officially operating since Friday (29/4) and ready to serve the people's fuel needs, especially those traveling through the Balikpapan-Samarinda toll road. "There is Pertamax and Pertalite for gasoline type products, as well as Dexlite for gasoil type products, available at the Balsam 36B Modular Toll Gas Station," Satria said.

It is hoped that through the addition of petrol station facilities during the Eid al-Fitr homecoming period, it will be more comfortable for travel because fuel can be obtained easily.
