MEDCO E&P Natuna Ltd. Appreciate Elnusa's HSSE Performance on the EHR-01 HWU Project

Jakarta, February 18, 2022 – Amid the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, PT Elnusa Tbk (Elnusa) has consistently held a Virtual Management Walkthrough (MWT) on Friday (11/02). The MWT is carried out to ensure that the workers understand the Company's Health Safety Security & Environment (HSSE) policies. It also ensures policies implementation in the field and provide input if there are obstacles in HSSE.

This MWT was carried out for the Medco Energi EHR-01 Hydraulic Workover Unit (HWU) Project, located in Block B in the South Natuna Sea, Riau Islands. The EHR-01 has advantages compared to other conventional rigs because the unit footprint is small and light and capable of working in remote areas with limited space. The scope of work carried out is Well Intervention which includes Pump Repair (Change out ESP), Recompletion, Cement Job, Fishing & Milling, and Wellbore Cleanout.

The event was attended by Elnusa Director of Operations Charles Harianto Lumbantobing, Director of HR and General Affairs of Elnusa Tenny Elfrida, VP of Strategic Planning & Corporate Management Elnusa Aditya Dewobroto, VP of HSSE Elnusa Ramon Arias Pili, Chief of Legal & Compliance Elnusa Asmal Salam, VP of Oilfield Services (Pjs) Elnusa Eddy Hariyadie, Senior Manager of Treasury Achmad Fauzan and other members of Elnusa's management.

Tenny Elfrida, Director of Human Resources and General Affairs of Elnusa, reminded in his speech to always apply the 3 Aspects of HSE Golden Rules, Obedience, Care, and Intervention. He also conveyed to HWU workers the importance of implementing the 12 Life Saving Rules which greatly affect work safety.

“Especially when entering HWU work, of course, there are some HSSE priorities that are higher than others. There are three essential points. The first is personnel readiness and ideal circumstances to work because this is the most influential. Second is the tools, which are also relevant. The third is the environment, which is important for monitoring the conditions, work areas, and weather," said Tenny.

This occasion was also attended by representatives from clients, namely the Well Intervention Engineering Manager Medco E&P Natuna Ltd. Rizky Andika. Rizky appreciated Elnusa as one of the partners who initiated and accommodated the virtual MWT implementation.

"Medco has a very high HSE target which is expected to expedite project work. From the achievements, we have highlighted that HWU has a very good performance when facing various obstacles such as weather and the implementation of the Covid-19 protocol," Rizky said.

Elnusa's management appreciates the achievement of zero incidents since the project started and the good HSSE performance. It is hoped that Elnusa's support for Medco can provide the best until the project is completed.**
