Manage National Vital Objects, Pertamina Prioritizes BBM and LPG Services for the Community

Jakarta, December 21, 2021 – In relation to the strike plan consigned by the United Pertamina Workers Union Forum (FSPBB), PT Pertamina (Persero) ensures that the fulfillment of fuel and LPG needs as well as services to the community will remain the Company's top priority.

 "As a state-owned company, Pertamina, including all workers, is responsible for carrying out the government's mandate to ensure national energy security. Workers are also at the forefront of service to the community and carry out government assignments to fulfill fuel and LPG needs to the 3T areas so that people can continue their activities. Moreover, currently, Indonesia is struggling to get out of the Covid-19 pandemic, so that the wheels of the national economy must continue to be driven," explained VP of Corporate Communication of Pertamina Fajriyah Usman.

Regarding the aspirations conveyed by workers to the Company, including from FSPPB, explained Fajriyah, Pertamina's management is always open to dialogue in accordance with applicable industrial relations regulations.

Therefore, Fajriyah also hopes that all employees can continue to prioritize the public interest and maintain operational conduciveness together. Management will also anticipate and mitigate any conditions to ensure that the company's operations can continue to run smoothly, and fuel as well as LPG services will not experience disruption.

Based on Presidential Decree (Keppres) No. 63 of 2004, energy infrastructure in Pertamina's operational areas is a National Vital Object (Obvitnas) that must be free from threats and disturbances                                                     

Vice President of Corporate Communication of Pertamina, Fajriyah Usman, explained that Pertamina as a company that manages national energy is responsible for ensuring the security of infrastructure including businesses, areas or locations, buildings or energy installations which are the livelihood of many people, the interests of the state and or strategic sources of state revenue.

 "For this reason, we hope that all Pertamina employees are responsible for securing Obvitnas in the operational area and keep away from all threats and disturbances as a form of our contribution to the nation, considering that the area, infrastructure, and energy installations are indispensable to serve energy needs throughout Indonesia," stated Fajriyah.**
