Pertamina Ensures Safe Distribution and LPG Supply in Kepri Ahead of Eid al-Adha 2024
Batam, June 15, 2024 – Ahead of the Eid al-Adha 1445 H celebration, PT Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional North Sumatra (Sumbagut) ensures that the LPG stock in the Riau Islands (Kepri) is sufficient and available. It was stated by the Area Manager of Comm, Rel & CSR of Pertamina Patra Niaga Sumbagut Region, Susanto August Satria, on Friday (14/6).
"We guarantee that the distribution and LPG stock in Kepri is sufficient. Additionally, to fulfill the community’s needs during Eid al-Adha, Pertamina Patra Niaga has prepared a reinforcement stock of 3 kg LPG cylinders, totaling 74,480 units in Kepri," said Satria.
He explained that this stock reinforcement is done to anticipate the increased demand for 3 kg LPG during Eid al-Adha, which coincides with the weekend (long holiday). The LPG stock reinforcement in Kepri will be carried out during the Eid al-Adha holiday and the long weekend in June 2024.
Satria also urged the community to purchase 3 kg LPG from official Pertamina bases to get the highest retail price (HET) set by the local government. Additionally, the public is advised to utilize the 3 kg LPG wisely, not hoarding or reselling it.
"We urge the public to use 3 kg LPG wisely, not to hoard or resell the 3 kg LPG, which is a subsidized item," said Satria.
It should be noted that several businesses are prohibited from using subsidized LPG as stipulated in the Circular Letter of the Director General of Oil and Gas No. B-2461/MG.05/DJM/2022. Some businesses prohibited from using 3 kg LPG include hotels, restaurants, laundry services, livestock, tobacco farming, batik, welding services, and others.
Besides ensuring the availability of 3 kg LPG, Satria stated that they also guarantee non-subsidized LPG availability, such as Bright Gas, both at bases and outlets, making it easily accessible to the public.
Vice President of Corporate Communication of PT Pertamina (Persero), Fadjar Djoko Santoso, added that during the National Religious Holiday (HBKN) of Eid al-Adha 2024, Pertamina ensures LPG availability across Indonesia, including the Riau Islands and surrounding areas to fulfill the local community's needs.
