Jakarta, February 14, 2021 – The struggle of MSMEs to rise during the pandemic should be supported by all parties. Through the Partnership Program, Pertamina takes part in encouraging its MSMEs to rise again and upgrade. Through the Pertamina UMKM Academy 2020: Fast Track program, Pertamina has successfully helped hundreds of small businesses upgrade.
One of the MSMEs that has benefited from this activity is Trias Putri Boerniat. The owner of CV Green MSMEs was included in the Go Global class when participating in the event. Trias is grateful for this because she has learned many new things. "There is a lot of material regarding exports, which we really need to prepare for future exports," said Trias.
Not just a dream, because her products such as curtains, bed covers, sofa covers, pillows, Muslim clothes, and accessories are considered to be export-worthy. Its products also have made it to several large department stores and several well-known galleries. "In this way, we want to build a brand image to the public so that our products are more widely known," she added.
Not only that, but some of her experiences also support Trias' readiness to supply its products to the international market in participating in exhibitions abroad. For example, Australia, Brunei Darussalam, Bangkok, Kuwait, and Dubai have been visited to introduce their products. From exhibitions at home and overseas, the orders that CV Green received are increasing.
This condition also demands Trias to open up many job opportunities. She recruited many young people and housewives who needed jobs. In total, there are about 50 employees and partners who helped her. It is in line with the implementation of ESG in the social sector and the implementation of SDGs, the 8th goal by providing jobs and supporting economic growth.
The business, located at Jalan Flamboyan Raya 19-H-1 Rempoa, Ciputat, South Tangerang, has been practiced for almost 35 years. And since joining Pertamina in 2016, Trias acknowledged that many significant changes had occurred. It starts from increasing the number of employees to increasing turnover up to 3-5 times. "We hope this business can continue to grow to provide more jobs," she concluded.
Meanwhile, Senior Vice President of Corporate Communications & Investor Relations of Pertamina, Agus Suprijanto, welcomed Trias's noble intentions. According to him, through the Partnership Program, Pertamina will fully support sociopreneur-based businesses such as those undertaken by Trias. "Pertamina will carry out coaching so that MSMEs not only benefit for themselves, but also the people around them," concluded Agus.**
