Pertamina Launches Competency Development Program

Jakarta, May 18, 2024 – Pertamina has launched its new program, the Competency Development Program, aimed at enhancing the capabilities of Pertamina officers.

This program is part of Pertamina Investment Excellence to address future business needs and challenges, especially regarding investment management and execution.

Rabin Indrajad Hattari, Secretary of the Ministry of SOE, stated that in line with Pertamina’s tagline, “Energizing You,” Pertamina officers needed to be energized through transformation and cultural building. Pertamina must soar higher and continually look ahead. Therefore, cultural change is imperative.

“On behalf of the Ministry of SOE and the Minister of SOE, we urge everyone to be part of the transformation. All Pertamina officers must participate in this program and become agents of change, build networks, and enhance collaboration to contribute positively to Pertamina and Indonesia," Rabin explained during the ceremonial launch of the Competency Development Program at Grha Pertamina, Jakarta (May 17).

Rabin believes the Pertamina Competency Development Program demonstrates Pertamina's commitment to developing a strong culture to enhance the competence and capabilities of Pertamina officers.

Nicke Widyawati, President Director of PT Pertamina (Persero), said that the Competency Development Program represents Pertamina's commitment and focus, encompassing the holding company, sub-holdings, and subsidiaries, to support efforts in enhancing quality investments.

“I encourage all Pertamina officers to welcome this program with enthusiasm and commitment. Appreciation also goes to the officers and all partners and facilitators supporting this program," Nicke said.

Vice President of Corporate Communication of Pertamina, Fadjar Djoko Santoso, added that Pertamina provides opportunities for all officers to excel, one of which is through the recently launched Competency Development Program. This program allows officers to be directly involved while enhancing their value as the company’s best assets to support long-term corporate performance.
