Jakarta, December 6, 2021 - Pertamina Peduli distributed food supplies, equipment, and medical equipment to victims of the Mount Semeru eruption in Lumajang Regency, Sunday (5/12).
Food aid distributed includes 1.8 tons of rice, 0.5 tons of granulated sugar, 400 pcs of cooking oil, 100 pcs of sweetened condensed milk, and 125 boxes of instant noodles. Pertamina also provided 10 Bright Gas canisters for cooking in two public kitchens.
Pertamina also distributed sleeping equipment, such as 300 blankets and 350 sarongs. Given the Covid-19 pandemic, Pertamina has also distributed 400 boxes of masks.
The aid was directly handed over to the Lumajang Regency pavilion and distributed to refugee posts determined by the local government.
According to Fajriyah Usman, Pertamina Peduli immediately moved to distribute the aid most needed by the victims of the Semeru eruption, especially food and sleeping equipment. Pertamina will continue aid distribution to victims at the refugee camps parallel with conditions.
"During this emergency response period, Pertamina Peduli immediately distributed urgent assistance needed by the victims of the Semeru eruption. We will continue to increase this assistance so that it can relieve our brothers and sisters affected by the Semeru eruption," said Fajriyah.**
