Jakarta, May 1, 2021 - PT Pertamina (Persero) won an award at the Gatra Innovations Awards in 2021. This award is given for Pertamina's achievements through the Partnership Program in fostering micro and small enterprises (MSE) to become export-oriented businesses.
Gatra Media Group organized the webinar event and award with the theme "Real Innovation to Generate Community Hope." Pertamina received an award in the category "Innovation for MSME Development to Create Export-Oriented Products in the SOE Social and Environmental Responsibility program."
The Partnership Program's innovations received results in 2020 in the form of fostered partners who can get certificates or business permits such as BPOM, Halal, and others totaling 621 Fostered Partners. There are 795 Fostered MSEs that have upgraded, 254 MSEs experienced an increase in turnover and 61 Fostered MSEs Go Global through the UMK Academy program.
Acting Senior Vice President of Corporate Communications & Investor Relations of Pertamina, Fajriyah Usman, said several programs of MSE upgrading from the Partnership Program made Pertamina deserve this award. "Pertamina SMEXPO 2020 and UMK Academy are both export-oriented MSE development activities," she said.
In more detail, Fajriyah explained, at the Pertamina SMEXPO 2020 activity, there was a Business Forum session where there are most transactions. Pertamina is working with Indonesia Diaspora SME-SMI Export Empowerment & Development (ID-SEED), namely Indonesian Diaspora organizations in various countries, to assist MSEs in marketing their products in the global market.
Furthermore, for the UMK Academy activities, there is also a special class division for fostered MSEs who are already or ready to export their products, namely the Go Global class. From this program, fostered partners are provided with provisions regarding the flow of product export and what must be prepared.
Pertamina's representative who received the award was also one of the webinar presenters, namely VP of CSR & SMEPP Management of Pertamina, Arya Dwi Paramita. Together with two other presenters, namely the Head of the National Innovation Research Agency Laksana Tri Handoko and UGM Dean Panut Mulyono. Arya conveyed the material on the challenge of several UMK's superior programs for graduating.
In addition, Arya also conveyed the coaching scheme provided by Pertamina to its fostered partners. Starting from mentoring and coaching, then curated by Pertamina and Kadin to be included in the catalog and ranking of Pertamina SME 1000, following the UMK Academy.
Through this award, Arya continued, Pertamina is motivated to increase creativity and innovation in the development of MSEs because Pertamina always supports the achievement of SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals) through the implementation of ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) -based programs in all of its operational areas.
