December 16, 2020 - Pertamina Group won 6 awards in the Asia Sustainability Reporting Rating (ASRRAT) 2020 event organized by the National Center for Sustainability Reporting. In this event, the success of Pertamina Group, which was attended by 44 companies from countries in the Asian region, reflects the company's commitment to implementing leading and transparent reporting standards for sustainable business practices carried out in a consolidated manner.
ASRRAT is an award-awarding activity to institutions that have successfully communicated sustainability performance to stakeholders through a good Sustainability Report. ASRRAT is the third event, previously called the Sustainability Reporting Awards (SRA), and has been held since 2005.
Pertamina Sub Holding, PT Perusahaan Gas Negara Tbk won the Platinum Rank as the highest award at this award event. PT Pertamina (Persero), PT Pertamina Gas, PT Pertamina EP Cepu (PEPC), and PT PHE ONWJ won the Gold Rank, and PT Elnusa, Tbk won the Bronze Rank. PT Pertamina (Persero) itself has participated in SRA since 2011 and won several awards in several categories. Meanwhile, in 2018 and 2019, Pertamina managed to reach the Gold category in the ASRRAT event.
In the assessment process, at least three aspects of the assessment, namely the triple bottom line (economic, social, and environmental) aspects of the company; environmental and social impacts of company activities; and third, the achievement of the SDGs.
"For Pertamina Group, the sustainability strategy and the application of ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) are the main focus in efforts to create business growth synergies. It is in line with the implementation of environmental and social responsibility to support the achievement of SDGs and to foster a climate of transparency and openness in information related to investment and business," said Pertamina's SVP of Corporate Communication & Investor Relations, Agus Suprijanto.
As a sustainability effort, Pertamina has compiled an ESG framework roadmap as a long-term commitment to enhance its role in implementing the ESG and SDGs and ensure operational activities run agile, adaptive, and sustainable. Among them are the GHG emission reduction target of 29% by 2030, the implementation of a comprehensive TJSL program, and the application of good GCG principles. It is hoped that Pertamina's aspiration to become a company with a revenue target of 100 billion USD in 2026 can be achieved.
