School Holidays: Pelita Air Adds New Balikpapan-Yogyakarta-Balikpapan Route

Jakarta, June 15, 2024 – To support the school holiday season and the national religious holiday of Eid al-Adha in 2024, Pelita Air (flight code IP) is launching a new Balikpapan-Yogyakarta-Balikpapan route. The inaugural flight will depart from Sultan Aji Muhammad Sulaiman (SAMS) Sepinggan Airport in Balikpapan to Yogyakarta–Kulonprogo Airport on Saturday, June 15, 2024.
This new route brings Pelita Air's total to 14 routes across Indonesia, from west to east. Pelita Air will operate regular flights on the Balikpapan-Yogyakarta-Balikpapan route daily, with a frequency of seven times a week, using an Airbus A320-200 aircraft with a capacity of 180 economy class seats.
The flight schedule is as follows:
- Balikpapan to Yogyakarta (IP-640) 06:25 WITA - 07:15 WIB (daily)
- Yogyakarta to Balikpapan (IP-641) 08:10 WIB - 11:00 WITA (daily)
“The opening of the Balikpapan-Yogyakarta-Balikpapan route is part of Pelita Air's commitment to enhancing air connectivity, especially in major cities in central Indonesia.
