Jakarta, December 17, 2020 - The number of upgraded Pertamina's fostered partners increased significantly. It is after the closing of Pertamina UMKM Academy: Fast Track on Wednesday (16/12). There are 162 Pertamina's fostered MSMEs partners that have passed and graduated from the Go Modern, Go Digital, Go Online, and Go Global classes.
President Director of PT Pertamina (Persero), Nicke Widyawati, closed the Pertamina UMKM Academy: Fast Track event. In her remarks, Nicke congratulated the fostered partners who had graduated. "In a relatively short time, MSMEs can increase their business capacity and meet the criteria for advancement," she said.
These criteria include an increase in the number of employees, an increase in the value of loans, an increase in production capacity, an increase in turnover, involvement of the surrounding community to produce products, marketing of products outside the city/country, obtaining national/international certificates. "They (the fostered MSMEs) have met at least one of these criteria," she added.
The majority of participants directly benefited from participating in this event. As many as 61 MSMEs are being registered for the processing of Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) certification, 29 culinary MSMEs are being processed to obtain halal certificates. Several fostered partners received grants for appropriate tools and technology to support their business.
One of them is Jefri Wahyudi. The owner of UD Trisno, who is engaged in the sugarcane agricultural sector, received the assistance of a hand sprayer to support the effectiveness of his business. "I am very grateful to Pertamina because my request has been granted. This event also opened my horizons and knowledge to optimize my business," said Jefri.
In contrast, Nurjannah, the Mayana ecoprint batik business owner, has the opportunity to apply for IPR for her batik products. By pocketing the certification, she hopes to be able to expand the marketing reach of her products. "The materials are also extraordinary. I got many lessons about marketing, licensing, and others," she said.
Vice President of Corporate Communication of Pertamina, Fajriyah Usman added, although the Pertamina UMKM Academy: Fast Track program has ended, several programs will be continued. Like the Go Modern class, it will focus on the agribusiness sector to support national food security. Then the Go Digital and Go Online participants who passed will be entered in the Go Global class. As well as Go Global, participants have the potential to be included in exhibitions both at home and abroad.
Fajriyah also expressed her gratitude to the partners who supported the success of this event. Among them are Tour & Travel Partners, MarkPlus Institute, IDE-SEED, LKHI, blibli.com, Wakaf Produk Indonesia, and BPOM. "Hopefully, this program can continue, and more MSMEs will graduate. This program also supports the SDGs point 8, which is expected to help people get jobs and encourage national economic growth," concluded Fajriyah.**
