Welcoming Christmas and New Year 2023, Pertamina Ensures Sufficient Fuel and LPG Stocks in West Kalimantan

Pontianak, December 23, 2022 - As a commitment to distribute fuel and LPG, PT Pertamina (Persero), through the Commercial & Trading sub-holding, PT Pertamina Patra Niaga, ensures that fuel and LPG supply and stock in West Kalimantan are sufficient during Christmas 2022 and New Year 2023 (Nataru). It was disclosed by the Executive General Manager of Pertamina Patra Niaga Kalimantan Region, M. Taufiq Setyawan.

According to Taufiq, gasoline-type fuels (Pertamax Turbo, Pertamax, and Pertalite) distribution in West Kalimantan during Christmas and New Year's will increase by 7% from 1,833 kiloliters per day during average times to 1,962 KL during Nataru later. Gasoil-types fuel (dex series and bio solar) will increase by 1.4% from the average daily amount of 1,092 KL to 1,108 KL per day.

Meanwhile, LPG is also predicted to increase by 4.5% from the average daily distribution of 514 MT (Metric Tons) to 537 MT during Christmas and New Year’s.

“This increase follows our overall prognosis or estimate in the Kalimantan region, where gasoline-type fuel products will increase by 5%, and gasoil-type fuels (dex series and biodiesel) will increase by 1.5% during Christmas and this New Year. Meanwhile, LPG is expected to increase by 5%," said Taufiq.

Regarding fuel and LPG stocks' resilience, Pertamina Patra Niaga in the Kalimantan Region ensures that it is sufficient with an average stock holding of 8-15 accumulative days.

"There are several fuels and LPG supply points such as Pontianak Integrated Terminal, Sintang Fuel Terminal, Sanggau Jobber, Ketapang Jobber, Pontianak LPG Depot, and Pontianak STS (Ship to Ship), ready to fulfill fuel and LPG energy needs in West Kalimantan," added Taufiq.

Pertamina Patra Niaga in the Kalimantan Region has also activated the Christmas and New Year Task Force post from December 15, 2022, to January 8, 2023. It oversees distribution and stock alerts at all Fuel Terminals, petrol stations, SPPBE, and LPG agents in Kalimantan region, especially West Kalimantan.
