A Look at Several MSME and Visitors Activities at Pertamina SMEXPO 2022

Jakarta, December 1, 2022 – Visitors visited the MSME booth at Pertamina SMEXPO 2022 event at FX Sudirman Jakarta. In the exhibition, 35 offline MSMEs and 555 online MSMEs participated in various activities, including insightful sessions, business matching, voluntary classes, and giving discount promos and flash sales.

Pertamina SMEXPO, from November 28 to December 4, 2022, has different agenda daily. On the second day, an insightful session by Alphaworks.id and Visual Labs presented Photography and Videography materials, where producing attractive images does not need an expensive camera but can be done with a simple camera, such as a cellphone camera.

In his presentation, Fauzan from Visual Labs said that to improve the product images, lighting and background from the photos must be observed, considering that consumers want an efficient and time-saving way to shop, including deciding on the product. The consumers' attention will focus on the fastest way to assess a product, through photos and videos.

Yudha Rizky from Alphaworks.id added that photos determine consumers' impression of a product and whether they will continue to find out more and buy it. Therefore, product photography and videography are ways to sell online and attract consumers to buy.

Furthermore, Yudha explained that MSME actors must be keen on following trends, especially on social media. The public can be invited to see the story behind the production process until the finished products are ready to be sold.

Other activities include business matching, Ilham Bahari, Meeta Fauzan, Sobag, and Pengrajin Pelangi presented their superior products to buyers from Malaysia. Online MSMEs are also presented virtually.

VP of CSR & SMEPP of Pertamina, Fajriyah Usman, said the Pertamina SMEXPO 2022 aimed to improve Indonesian MSME products quality, especially Pertamina's fostered partners. Thus, they could enter the international market.

"Besides that, MSMEs continue to innovate by increasing the creativity and MSME digitalization and encouraging the creative economy recovery in the post-pandemic period," she said.

Fajriyah added that through the MSE Funding Program and the spirit of Energizing Your Future, Pertamina wants to provide energy that move the economy--energy that fuels and and energy that produces sustainable growth. Pertamina also encourage each fostered partner to become MSEs and go global.
