A synergy of SOE and Private Companies, Pertamina Achieves Two Awards for Apresiasi Mitra BUMN Champion 2022

Jakarta, May 10, 2022 - To appreciate State-Owned Enterprises (SOE) partners, the Ministry of SOEs held Apresiasi Mitra BUMN Champion 2022 at the Grha Pertamina Ballroom, on Monday, May 9, 2022, in Jakarta. 

At this event, PT Pertamina (Persero) received the second-best award as the National Champion for Creditors & Buyers and the third best as the National Champion for the vendor/supplier category.

According to the Minister of SOE, Erick Thohir, the ApresiasiMitra BUMN Champion 2022 is an event to strengthen the synergy between SOE and private companies to create an Indonesian economic ecosystem that has extraordinary strength.

"This is what we must synergize, where the government has a large roadmap that must be continued, not only the role of the government but also the private sector as a partner," said Minister Erick.

Through the Apresiasi Mitra BUMN Champion 2022, he also ensures that SOEs who receive the awards are reliable partners for SOE to go global. 

"This is what I hope, for us and our SOE partners to sit parallel, serving each other well because this is a collaborative era for us to become global competitors as well," Erick added. 

On this occasion, Erick conveyed three things that could be done with SOE partners. First, improve work relations to mutually benefit both parties. Second, build alignments to domestic products or the Domestic Component Level (TKDN). "Through TKDN, Indonesia must immediately move into an Industrial Country," explained Erick.

Third, according to Erick, SOEs need to have partners with same vision, especially transparent and professional partners. "Cooperation between SOEs and partners (private sector) is a key to Indonesia's extraordinary economy," explained Erick.

President Director of PT Pertamina (Persero), Nicke Widyawati, said that the award was in line with the aims and objectives of SOE establishment in Law no. 19 of 2003. One of the mandates is that SOEs must be able to move the national economy or become the locomotive of the national economy and provide guidance and optimize MSMEs. "These two things are what we continue to do, especially during this fast recovery time," said Nicke.

Not only that, but Nicke also appreciated the Ministry of SOEs through the Apresiasi Mitra BUMN Champion 2022 event.

"We give our highest appreciation to the Ministry of SOEs who initiated this event which rewards SOE partners in carrying out business activities in 2021, contributing to the SOEs' performance. Thus, the national economy and multiplier effect can occur, and SOE companies are helped by their partners' good performance,” said Nicke.**
