Accelerating Balongan Refinery Tank Incident Handling, Socialization & Verifications of Affected Houses and Properties Done Simultaneously

Indramayu, April 3, 2021 – PT Pertamina (Persero) is accelerating the Balongan Refinery incident's handling by conducting simultaneous socialization and data verification on the affected resident's reports. The data was gathered from affected residents' reports to the RT RW collected at the District I T-301.

Today, the socialization related to the verification of residential damage was carried out in Majakerta Village, involving Muspika and the Indramayu Regional Government (3/4).

Similar socialization was held on Friday, April 2, 2021, in Sukaurip, Balongan, and Tegalurung Villages. It involved various parties, including the PUPR Office of the Indramayu Regional Government, Muspika Balongan, and local village officials.

During the meeting, Pertamina apologized to the public and explained the company's efforts in overcoming the T-301 refinery incident at the Balongan Refinery and the impacts on the social, environmental, and property sectors of residents.

CSR Unit Manager Communication Relations of RU VI Balongan, Cecep Supriyatna, said that the Indramayu Regional Government had formed a Joint Team that would carry out data collection and verification for this incident.

"The Indramayu Regional Government has formed a collaboration team, and together with the Team, Pertamina will collect data and verify the losses suffered by residents. Pertamina will be responsible for the damage caused by this incident," said Cecep Supriyatna.

According to Cecep, socialization and data collection were carried out simultaneously in all affected locations. Parallel with socialization, areas that have completed socialization and data collection will soon be verified by the Collaboration Team consisting of the Technical Team (PUPR and KIMRUNG), Pertamina, TNI (Military), POLRI (Police), BPBD, Kuwu Sub-district Head, along with RW and RT.

"We do the whole process simultaneously and in parallel with the Joint Team so that it can be repaired immediately," concluded Cecep. **
