Ahead of New Year 2022, Pertamina Ensures Sufficient National Fuel Stock

Jakarta, December 28, 2021 – Pertamina assures that the national fuel stock is sufficient as the year 2022 approaches. Pertamina ensures that all types of fuel including gasoline, gasoil, and avtur are sufficient.

Vice President of Corporate Communication of Pertamina, Fajriyah Usman, asserted that the national fuel stock for gasoline (Pertamax Turbo, Pertamax, Pertalite, and Premium) is more than 20 days. Meanwhile, gasoil stocks (Solar, Biosolar, Dexlite, and Pertamina Dex) are above 18 days. The Avtur stock reached 36 days.

"Pertamina has secured stocks throughout the fuel distribution chain, from refineries, TBBM, and petrol station on standby 24 hours," said Fajriyah. 

Pertamina, added Fajriyah, has alerted the Christmas and New Year's Task Force (Nataru) on standby throughout Indonesia. It is to anticipate a 1.4% increase in fuel demand from the normal average of 6% for gasoline and gasoil.

Pertamina, added Fajriyah, has increased the supervision of the national fuel distribution by using digital technology. The entire fuel distribution process can be monitored in real-time through the Pertamina Integrated Command Center (PICC) and the petrol station digitization dashboard.

"All fuel stocks in each region and petrol stations can be monitored accurately. Therefore, Pertamina can quickly send fuel stocks if there is a surge in demand," added Fajriyah.

According to Fajriyah, Pertamina has also set a policy for all Pertamina officers to always be at the location and not allowed to take leave.

During the 2022 new year holidays, Pertamina is on standby for energy distribution infrastructure, including 114 TBBM, 68 Aircraft Filling Depots (DPPU), and more than 7,400 petrol stations. Pertamina also provides special services during the new year holiday, such as 1,356 standby petrol stations on the regular route, 65 standby petrol stations on the toll road, 219 motorists or the Pertamina Delivery Service (PDS) fleet, 144 petrol fuel bag points, and 37 units of Pertashop or modular gas stations.

Services at 68 DPPU will also continue to be on standby to meet Avtur's needs for all airlines.
