Ahead of the Christmas and New Year Holidays, Pertamina Patra Niaga Monitors the Automatic Fuel Ordering System to Guarantee Stock at Petrol Stations

Yogyakarta, Semarang, Surabaya, December 24, 2022 - Approaching the Christmas and New Year holidays, Pertamina Patra Niaga, Subholding Commercial & Trading of PT Pertamina (Persero), ensures all public services can operate optimally, one of which is petrol stations.

Finance Director of PT Pertamina Patra Niaga, Arya Suprihadi, said it was important that the stock is sufficient considering that the people's need for fuel during the Christmas and New Year holidays would increase. Arya said that Pertamina Patra Niaga is developing the Auto Replenishment system, a system that will monitor stock and order fuel automatically from petrol stations to the nearest supply point.

"With Auto Replenishment, there is automation starting from stock monitoring integrated with ordering and processing fuel payments by petrol stations. The goal is the simplification of ordering fuel process by petrol stations, which will support stock security to serve the community," explained Arya.

Through Auto Replenishment, estimates of fuel needs will continue to be monitored regularly. First, petrol station stock and sales data will be the main information in projecting fuel demand that must be met. Second, if the stock is at a minimum level, the system will automatically generate fuel order data according to the required volume, to then make payment at the petrol station. Third, if it has been processed, the system will send a notification to the nearest supply point or fuel terminal to schedule the delivery of the required fuel product.

"So, in general, there is no change in the scheme, but there is an integration that speeds up the fuel ordering process. The system will already be regulated, so there will be no more petrol stations being late for ordering fuel, and the hope is that if the delivery of fuel can be done on time before the minimum stock, gas station services will also be maximized," added Arya.

Currently, there are at least 2,632 petrol stations registered with the Auto Replenishment system, spread across the West Java and DKI Jakarta regions, the Central Java and DI Yogyakarta regions, the East Java, Bali and Nusa Tenggara regions, as well as the Papua region.

"This is Pertamina Patra Niaga's commitment to ensure that people's fuel needs can be met properly. Considering that it is currently the Christmas and New Year Task Force period, we hope that this Auto Replenishment can support Pertamina Siaga's operations and services so that people's trips both celebrating Christmas and holidays can be fulfilled properly," said Arya.
