Jakarta, August 27, 2021 – Continuously serving the community, PT Pertamina (Persero) assists the Government in accelerating the handling of Covid-19 by distributing oxygen in several areas across Indonesia.
Pertamina and its subsidiaries have delivered 4,855 tons of oxygen to fulfill COVID-19 patients' needs in 504 hospitals throughout 11 provinces in Indonesia, including Java, Bali, NTB, South Kalimantan, South Sumatra, and Lampung, as of August 25, 2021.
Oxygen has been distributed to 22 DKI Jakarta Hospitals, 5 Banten Hospitals, 59 West Java Hospitals, 186 Central Java Hospitals, 62 DI Yogyakarta Hospitals, 122 East Java Hospitals, 15 Bali Hospitals, 30 NTB Hospitals, 1 South Kalimantan Hospital, 1 South Sumatra Hospital, and 1 Lampung Hospital since July 6, 2021. West Sumatra, Bangka Belitung, and Central Kalimantan will all receive oxygen delivery in the near future.
Oxygen transported by ISO Tank is sent through 31 ISO Tank units transport trucks in 243 shipments (Ritase). In the oxygen distribution process, Pertamina fills up oxygen at Linde's Filling Plants in Cilegon and Gresik, Air Liquid in Cilegon, Samator in Batam, and VDNIP in Kendari, to be transported to Samator's Depo Point Storage spread across several areas. Furthermore, oxygen is distributed to hospitals based on recommendations from the Ministry of Health. In addition, Pertamina also distributes oxygen directly to several hospitals on the island of Java.
In addition to distributing oxygen, Pertamina Group also distributed 109 tons of oxygen to 34 hospitals, namely 15 hospitals in Central Java and 19 hospitals in East Java.

In distributing the oxygen assistance, said Fajriyah, Pertamina involved Gas Subholding (PT PGN Tbk., along with PT Pertamina Gas and PT Gagas), Commercial & Trading Subholding (PT Pertamina Patra Niaga and PT Patra Logistik), and PT Elnusa Petrofin. At the implementation stage, the Pertamina Team, who are members of the Task Force for the Acceleration of Oxygen Handling, also coordinates closely with the Ministry of Health, Ministry of SOEs, Ministry of Industry, and Coordinating Ministry for Maritime Affairs & Investment.
