Jakarta, March 27, 2021 - Through the Partnership Program, PT Pertamina (Persero) fosters various micro and small entrepreneurs (MSEs) from multiple backgrounds. The coaching provided will be the same as implementing the Go Modern, Go Digital, Go Online, and Go Global roadmaps. That way, MSEs can upgrade and become strong and independent entrepreneurs.
Lina S. Rahmania also received this training. This Pertamina's fostered partner, who owns the Sanrahfood MSE, started her business with a small desire. "In 2015, there started to be a desire to have a business when my husband entered his retirement. Starting with selling fried duck, then I pack the duck sauce in bottles, and the public response is excellent," she said.
Finally, her intention to run a home business was getting stronger. She focuses on developing various chili sauce businesses, while duck products are made in frozen form. Both of these products also received a positive response from the public. Until finally, she was able to employ six employees to help with her production.
Not only for personal gain, but her skill in making delicious chili sauce is often shared with many people. She frequently provides entrepreneurship training to mothers who are about to enter retirement, as well as homemakers. "We provide tips and tricks to be able to start a business that is arguably easy and cheap," she added.
Lina is not worried that there will be many competitors by providing similar training. Her business is now growing, especially after deciding to become Pertamina's fostered partner in 2020. The increase in turnover was also quite significant, which was initially IDR 70 million per month. After becoming Pertamina's partner, she was able to earn up to IDR 90 million per month.
This increase in turnover is also directly proportional to the wide range of product marketing. It covers the domestic market and internationally, such as Malaysia, Moscow, Australia, Japan, China, Hong Kong, and South Korea. "Hopefully, this marketing expansion can introduce Indonesian special chili sauce to the eyes of the world," she hoped.
Senior Vice President of Corporate Communications & Investor Relations of Pertamina, Agus Suprijanto, appreciated Lina's business steps. According to him, she helped Pertamina implement SDGs point 8, namely providing jobs and supporting economic growth, and implementing ESG in the social sector.
According to Agus, through this Partnership Program, Pertamina always wants to provide energy that drives the economy--the energy that becomes fuel and energy that generates sustainable growth. "Pertamina will support Indonesian MSEs to be more independent with the intensive assistance we provide so that MSEs can move up in class," he concluded.**
