Bandung, April 22, 2022 - As an effort to maintain homecoming for the Eid al-Fitr 1443 Hijriyah smoothness, the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM), PT Pertamina (Persero), and the Oil and Gas Daily Supervisory Agency (BPH Migas) inspected several petrol stations along highways to Java. It is done to see Pertamina's readiness to carry out the 2022 Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr Task Force (Satgas Rafi).
The Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources, Arifin Tasrif, said that Pertamina had prepared extra services, ranging from fuel stocks to fuel filling units, as an emergency for people in need.
"We have estimated that there will be an increase during the Lebaran holiday season of around 10-14 percent. Therefore, we have asked Pertamina to prepare and plan its logistics operations so that the fuel arrives on time," said Arifin.
Moreover, Minister Arifin also said that when the homecoming flow began, on April 27, 2022, the government had issued a policy that large transport vehicles would stop operating.
"Indeed, this will affect the amount of biodiesel consumption, but our focus is the consumption of Pertalite. We predict that the consumption of Pertalite fuel will be more widely used by people when traveling home," said Arifin.
President Director of PT Pertamina (Persero), Nicke Widyawati, said that Pertamina had predicted the peak of the gasoline increase would be on May 1, 2022, with up to a 35 percent increase.
As for gasoil, the lowest decline is expected on May 3 with up to 52 percent decline. It is because approaching the home coming large vehicles are prohibited from operating.
Nicke also conveyed Pertamina's alertness in maintaining fuel stocks during the homecoming by providing Modular petrol stations. "We have prepared Modular petrol stations (Pertashop) in every rest area along the homecoming route. We do this to maintain the availability of fuel for travelers," said Nicke.
In addition, she also mentioned Pertamina's preparations ahead of the 2022 Rafi Task Force in the West Java region. "We provide 12 Modular petrol stations with a total of 25 Modular units. Furthermore, 95 Pertamina Delivery Service (Motorists), 111 Motor Units, as well as 63 Pocket Petrol Stations (Mobile Storage), are ready to be alerted," explained Nicke.**
