Before the Long Holiday, Pertamina Ensures Fuel, LPG, and Avtur Supplies Security

Jakarta, October 27,  2020 – Before the long weekend because of a joint leave from October 28 to November 1, 2020, PT Pertamina (Persero) has anticipated the need for fuel, LPG to Avtur and ensures the availability of supplies in safe conditions and smooth distribution.

Vice President of Corporate Communication of Pertamina, Fajriyah Usman, stated that to anticipate energy needs due to increased human mobility during the 5-day long vacation, Pertamina has provided sufficient supplies. For fuel types ranging from Pertaseries, dexseries, premium, and diesel, the national average stock resistance is above 31 days. LPG availability is over 18 days and will continue to be guaranteed.

"To serve people who take advantage of air transportation modes, Pertamina guarantees that Avtur stocks are secure with a coverage day of up to 66 days or around 386 thousand KL," said Fajriyah.

According to her, Pertamina also anticipates an increase in household consumer activity, such as providing food for families during the joint leave. LPG stock at SPPBE and LPG depot is currently in a secure condition. To anticipate the surge in need for 3kg LPG during this long holiday, Pertamina has prepared an additional 4% or around 5,750 MT/day.

"In order for energy needs to be fulfilled while the community can enjoy a long holiday comfortably, Pertamina will continue to monitor the increase in demand for LPG and will prepare additional supply if needed. However, we appeal to those who are economically able to use Non-Subsidized LPG with the Bright Gas variant," added Fajriyah.

Amid the Covid 19 pandemic, continued Fajriyah, Pertamina also urged the public to adhere to health protocols.

"Since the beginning of the pandemic, Pertamina has implemented a standard protocol for preventing COVID-19 in all fuel and LPG facilities, including petrol stations. So we will be very grateful if consumers can also participate in prevention efforts," added Fajriyah.
