Padang, April 2, 2022 - To ensure fuel supply for the community ahead of the fasting month, President Director of PT Pertamina Patra Niaga, Alfian Nasution, with Member of the Indonesian House of Representatives Commission VI, Andre Rosiade, conducted a sudden inspection (sidak) of several public fuel filling stations (SPBU) in Padang City, West Sumatra, on Friday (1/4).
During the inspection, Alfian ensured that the fuel supply in Padang was in a safe condition, and it was observed that there were no queues at petrol stations. However, Alfian said that to continue anticipating queues, Pertamina Patra Niaga had increased the diesel fuel supply in West Sumatera.
"Since last week, we have been gradually increasing the supply of diesel by 5 to 10 percent in West Sumatera. This addition increases from Solar quota allocation in West Sumatera, which previously amounted to 411 thousand per year," he said.
Furthermore, Alfian emphasized that the additional supply is expected to optimally go hand in hand with supervision in the field. Therefore, his party continues to coordinate with the Provincial Government, Regional Government, and the apparatus so that the use of subsidized Solar can be more targeted.
"In addition to cooperating with the Provincial Government, Regional Government, and officials to carry out supervision, Pertamina Patra Niaga also invites the public to monitor targeted fuel utilization. If people find any abuse in subsidized diesel fuel distribution, they can report it to the authorities. For instance, trucks with wheels above six, oil palm trucks, coal trucks, which according to the regulations are prohibited from using subsidized diesel," added Alfian.
Alfian also urged consumers to use fuel according to its designation and wisely choose fuel according to the vehicles' engine specifications.
The inspection, which lasted until the afternoon was carried out at several petrol stations in Padang, including petrol stations at 13.251.501 Tj. Saba Pitameh, 14.251.525 Air Pacah petrol station, 14.251.518 Pisang petrol station, and 14.251.520 Balai Gadang petrol station.
