Pekanbaru, Agustus 17, 2021 – PT Pertamina Hulu Rokan (PHR) immediately take swift action after the acquisition of the Rokan Working Area (WK) on August 9. It is a week after receiving the mandate to operate one of the country's largest oil and gas working areas. Moreover, precisely a day before the 76th Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia commemoration, PHR conducted the sixth well drilling, namely Duri #3R-52B using Rig ACS-19, as one of the PHR work programs realizations. Those massive and aggressive efforts are to maintain production levels in the Rokan working area.
"I saw the work in the field directly. Everyone worked hard, ever since the transition period to the post-acquisition. The rig preparation which usually is completed in six days can be completed in three days," said PHR President Director Jaffee Arizon Suardin on Monday. (16/8).
Previously, since August 9, 2021, PHR has drilled five wells: on August 10 Bangko-344 P03reg5 well using Rig BN-18, on August 11 Duri well P_3R33E using Rig ACS-19, on August 13 Duri well 3K-49C using Rig APS-3511, and two other wells are on August 15, namely Duri 8M-75B well using Rig ACS-20 and well Bekasap #161 - BK21_P01 using Rig PDSI 52.2.
Currently, Jaffee said that as many as 25 locations are ready to be drilled or known as Ready for Drilling (RFD). PHR targets to drill 161 new wells by the end of this year. PHR targets and hard work are to achieve the oil production target proclaimed by the government, namely 1 million BOPD (Barrel Oil Per Day) in 2030.
WK Rokan is one of the main pillars in achieving this target. "PHR is committed to support the government's target. PHR's main priority at this time is drilling. We will try our best to achieve this target," said Jaffee.
As of today, PHR operates 10 rigs which will gradually increase to 16 rigs by October 2021. To run a safe, reliable, and efficient drilling program, PHR focuses on three aspects: the consistent safety program implementation, conversion of two workover rigs (350 HP) into drilling rigs, and achieving superior and efficient performance through the Lean Sigma program.
Since Friday (13/8), the PHR's President Director began to visit drilling locations to greet and encourage workers in the field. It is planned that the visits will be made to several drilling locations in Bengkalis and Rokan Hilir until next week.
