The Coordinating Ministry for Maritime Affairs has rallied support for mangrove planting through the TJSL program since 2021 and will continue in the future. In today's kick-off, we hope to contribute to achieving the national target of 600,000 hectares of mangroves, and we expect to see an increase in livelihoods for communities dependent on mangroves," explained Nani.

Poerwadi, conveyed Pertamina's commitment to continually rehabilitate the environment not only through mangrove planting but also through other aspects. Besides mangrove planting, Pertamina also assisted coral reef empowerment and conservation programs and infrastructure support for the conservation of the Yellow-Crested Cockatoo.
"This year, Pertamina will carry out mangrove rehabilitation around its operational areas with the Coordinating Ministry for Maritime Affairs and the Ministry of Environment and Forestry, including in NTT, North Kalimantan, and Aceh Singkil. Additionally, Pertamina is assisting in environmental improvement for coral reef and endemic animal conservation," said Brahmantya.

"I extend special appreciation to the Coordinating Ministry for Maritime Affairs and the Ministry of Environment and Forestry, Pertamina, state-owned and private companies, for their significant attention to mangrove rehabilitation, especially in NTT. Mangrove forests play a crucial role in ecological, economic, and socio-cultural aspects. This ecosystem serves as habitats for life on land and in the sea and maintains atmospheric quality by filtering carbon pollution," he concluded.
