Commemorating the 2024 Pancasila Day, Pertamina Encourages Officers to Become Agents of National Unity in the Energy Sector

Jakarta, June 1, 2024 – PT Pertamina (Persero) held a ceremony to commemorate the 2024 Pancasila Day. Besides hosting the main event in Dumai led by President Joko Widodo, Pertamina also organized Pancasila Day ceremonies at various locations across Indonesia.

At the Pertamina Head Office in Jakarta, the Pancasila Day ceremony was led by Deputy President Director of Pertamina, Wiko Migantoro. The event was attended by the board of directors, commissioners, employees of PT Pertamina (Persero), Sub-holdings, Subsidiaries, and Affiliates of the Pertamina Group.

In line with President Joko Widodo’s directive to promote Pancasila in a contemporary manner to the younger generation, Wiko invited all Pertamina Group officers to become agents of national unity.

“Pertamina’s officers come from diverse ethnic, religious, cultural, and generational backgrounds, including Millennials and Gen-Z. With this diversity, it is hoped that all Pertamina Officers will become agents that unify the national and further advance the energy sector, upholding the Bhinneka Tunggal Ika (Unity in Diversity) principle,” Wiko stated.

In the spirit of Pancasila Day, he called on all Pertamina officers across Indonesia to work together to instill Pancasila’s values in every aspect of community life and daily environments within their respective Pertamina regions.

“May this Pancasila Day celebration boost our collective spirit to continually embody Pancasila in advancing the energy sector,” emphasized Wiko.

Vice President of Corporate Communication of Pertamina, Fadjar Djoko Santoso, added that following the government’s mandate that Indonesia has the potential for green energy, Pertamina supports the government in accelerating the energy transition towards green energy, which also aligns with Pancasila values.

“Through the Pancasila Day ceremonies held at Pertamina locations across Indonesia, Pertamina aims to promote Pancasila values within the energy sector,” concluded Fadjar.
