Banten, December 9, 2021 – PT Pertamina Patra Niaga West Java Region through the CSR Soekarno Hatta Fuel Terminal and Hydrant Installation (SHAFTHI) program continues to commit in supporting the government’s programs in assisting the development of micro and small economies in all sectors of its fostered partners. Pertamina is present as energy for MSEs (micro and small businesses) to encourage and move the Indonesian economy together.
One of the efforts to support the program, Pertamina is assisting in the revitalization of galleries and processed betel production houses for the "IBU KOS" (Processed Betel Creation) MSME Group in Mekarsari Village, Neglasari District, Tangerang City. The gallery was inaugurated on Friday (26/11) and was attended by the Superintendent Receiving Storage Distribution SHAFTHI Subardi, Head of the Tangerang City Environmental Service Tihar Sofyan, Mekarsari Village Head Royani, and the Food Security Unit of Tangerang City Aula Ismed.
"Pertamina SHAFTHI as a distributor of fuel for aircraft carries out its social responsibility to MSMEs in Mekarsari Village by providing assistance in the revitalization of galleries and processed betel production houses, with the hope of encouraging the creation of innovations in processed products made from betel leaf as well as a way of marketing products both on a local scale and national scale," said Area Manager Communication, Relations & CSR of Pertamina Patra Niaga West Java Region, Eko Kristiawan.
It is undeniable that the COVID-19 pandemic is not an easy thing to pass for MSEs in Indonesia. Through this program, Pertamina also encourages fostered partners to remain productive and innovative during the pandemic.
Royani expressed her gratitude for the assistance provided by PT Pertamina Patra Niaga West Java Region through SHAFTHI who has supported MSMEs in Mekarsari Village and hopes that this assistance will accelerate development and progress to improve the people in Mekarsari Village’s welfare.
"This assistance from Pertamina is very useful for us Mekarsari residents to advance MSEs who are trying to survive in the midst of a pandemic," said Royani.
This program also aims to continue implementing point 8 of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which is decent work and economic growth. Besides the SDGs, Pertamina also seeks to implement Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) in the social sector. This way, Pertamina believes that it can always generate economic benefits in the community in line with environmental and social responsibilities.**
