Jakarta, July 14, 2021 – Pertamina Group’s efforts to accelerate the handling of Oxygen for patients continues. After the government designated Asrama Haji Pondok Gede as a Covid-19 Emergency Hospital, Pertamina immediately placed 1 unit of ISO oxygen tank at the Asrama Haji location. This ISO Tank that has the capacity of 20 tons also functions as oxygen storage to fulfill the need of Covid-19 patients in the Asrama Haji, in addition to 1 other ISO Tank unit from the Ministry of Health.
The Covid-19 Asrama Haji Emergency Hospital is currently managed by the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of SOE through Pertamedika-IHC. From the total capacity, it is estimated to require around 26 thousand m3 of oxygen per day.
Acting Senior Vice President of Corporate Communications and Investor Relations Fajriyah Usman said that Pertamina continues to coordinate with relevant government agencies for the distribution of ISO Tank to hospitals in need.
Until now, around 400 tons of oxygen has been transported by Pertamina Group and distributed to hospitals in DKI Jakarta, West Java, Central Java, D.I Yogyakarta, to East Java.
“For Pertamina, the role of managing the national energy is the main task that must be carried out properly, but as an SOE we also have a big social responsibility for the nation,” concluded Fajriyah.**
