Jakarta, March 3, 2022 – PT Pertamina International Shipping (PIS) continues to improve the digital version of the Enhanced Daily Tanker Position (EDTP) application as a tanker monitoring automation development program.
The EDTP application, which has received awards from external and internal Pertamina, is now upgraded to EDTP 3.0 with improved quality features and formulas to be applied in a series of Supply & Distribution monitoring throughout Indonesia. This application can find out the real-time position of the PIS fleet of ships sailing in international waters from the Pertamina Command Center (PCC) Control Room as the Control Center.
"This application plays a significant role in the effectiveness of ship management for operational operating cost efficiency, as well as answering the challenges of digital transformation," said PIS Corporate Secretary Arief Sukmara, Wednesday (2/3/2022).
There are also some additional features of the EDTP 3.0 development; Idaman Login feature to improve application security, vessel tracking, monitoring, layering (for weather, potential tsunami, and earthquake), navigation, a dashboard to facilitate monitoring and reporting, CCTV and alert system on anomalous conditions to increase awareness and security of cargo distribution, bookmarks, and operational reports.
Previously, PIS also collaborated with DNV, a world-class classification company, to implement the ShipManager technical module application. This application is applied from the planning, implementation, to the evaluation of maintenance activities, QHSE (Quality, Health, Safety, Environment System), and Crewing System.
Other applications PIS has implemented include the Fleet Management Dashboard and Fleet Digital Control Room to monitor ship management flexibly. Therefore, shipping operations can be more effective and efficient.
Fleet Management Dashboard is applied to find out ship management in real-time. Meanwhile, the Fleet Digital Control Room will monitor owned vessels, assembly, and manage applications that can be monitored via mobile phones.
PIS also launched a digital application called PEKA which means Pengamatan Keselamatan Kerja (Work Safety Observation).
"This application is expected to assist the implementation of work safety observations in the PIS environment," said Arief.
The PEKA application is also expected to mitigate the dangers and risks of HSSE before an incident occurs and help accelerate the achievement of generative HSSE. Moreover, with the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic and a new variant of Omicron, one of the HSSE functions. Namely, giving the most optimal protection measures for the health condition of all workers.**
