Creating Easier Community Access, Pertamina Prepares 4,308 Pertashops until the End of the Year

Jakarta, August 13, 2020 - PT Pertamina (Persero) continues to carry out the Pertamina Shop (Pertashop) development program throughout Indonesia. Until the end of the year, Pertamina is targeting 4,308 Pertashop units throughout Indonesia.

"As of August 2020, 500 units are ready to operate in 23 provinces with a target of 4,308 units by the end of 2020 in 2376 sub-districts that do not have a fuel distribution agency, which can be passed by fuel tank trucks. Pertamina will also build 2000 pertashops in strategic places, such as in Banten, West Java, and East Java," explained Fajriyah Usman, Vice President of Corporate Communication of PT Pertamina (Persero).

Fajriyah added that the construction of Pertashop would continue until all districts that do not have fuel and LPG distribution agencies are fulfilled evenly. Pertamina will prioritize village institutions and MSMEs businesses to manage the Pertashop, in line with the Pertamina One Village One Outlet Program, so that later the local government will have a new economic center.

"The average turnover obtained from Pertashop is between 700 to 900 liters/day. For example, the Pertashop in Karanglo Village, Tawangmangu District, Karanganyar Regency, Central Java, once reached 1000 liters/day or around 300 vehicles per day using Pertashop with the assumption of the maximum purchase with Pertamax is IDR 30,000 for two-wheeled vehicles," explained Fajriyah.

In the village of Mengwi Bali, the average turnover per day is 800 liters/day. Moreover, it even gets up to 901 liters per day. "Seeing this positive interest, Pertashop can be the best alternative choice for village-owned enterprises (BUMDES) in managing their regional economy," she added.

Head of Kelurahan Karanglo, Tawangmangu District, Karanganyar Regency, Suwarno, expressed his appreciation to Pertamina. Since there was Pertashop, the village economy has grown. "Since there was a pertashop, the people in our sub-district have been very helped, especially since they usually travel 10 kilometers to the gas station," he added.

Putu Suadnyana, Secretary of Mengwi Village, Mengwi Sub-District, Badung Bali District, also expressed his appreciation to Pertamina. With the existence of Pertashop in his village, besides the easier access to get fuel, it is also with the same price as gas stations, and the product quality is guaranteed.

"With the support of the Government and all stakeholders, Pertamina hopes that the Pertashop program can complement the success of the One Price Fuel Program, which is currently being enjoyed by community in the 3T region. For more information about the requirements for the construction of Pertashop, it can be accessed through https://spbu.pertamina.com/," concluded Fajriyah. **
