Various ways are done in order to survive in this difficult condition. Through Partnership Program, Pertamina is here to bridge MSMEs with a number of programs so that they can rise up and upgrade.
Bambang Tri Mulyono, the owner of Bakmi Jawa Mbah Hardjo, is one of MSME whose business got affected by the pandemic. However, thanks to the assistance done by Pertamina, his business is now starting to return to normal. "My products are also increasingly recognized by many customers not only around Yogyakarta, but in Jakarta and other cities and even Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, thanks to the UMKM exhibition sponsored by Pertamina there," he added proudly.
Bambang said that Pertamina also provides training opportunities for their fostered partners such as how to manage finances to online marketing. In fact, Pertamina helps the businesses of its fostered partners to survive the Covid-19 pandemic as well. Finally, he participated in the Pertamina UMKM Academy: Fast Track program and successfully passed because he was considered to have upgraded.
Then, what is the story of Bambang in starting his business? This culinary business on Keloran Street No. 8 Senggotan, Kasihan District, Bantul Regency, DI Yogyakarta started in 2009. Starting from the usual Javanese noodle restaurant. Until gradually there was an innovation in canned Javanese noodle products which may be the first and still the only one to date.
“We want Bakmi Jawa Mbah Hardjo to be enjoyed by consumers wherever they are, so it must be durable. Until finally this formula was created with an expiration period up to a year. And up until now, there are 14 kinds of canned food,” he said. Not only Javanese noodles, there are also other menus such as chicken rica, tuna sardines, lamb tengkleng, fried lamb satay, lamb tongseng, and black pepper lamb.
With this durable packaging, Bambang markets his products to many regions in Indonesia. One of them is with the help of social media and a marketplace called Bakmi Jawa Kaleng Mbah Hardjo. With the innovations he carried out, he was able to earn a turnover of around IDR 50-60 million per month. With the help of 7 housewives, Bambang was able to meet the market demand while still implementing ESG in the social sector.
