Jakarta, May 16, 2024 - PT Pertamina (Persero) officially established the Directorate of Risk Management across all Subholdings on Wednesday, May 15, 2024. This new directorate demonstrates Pertamina's commitment to strengthening the Risk Management Directorate function to achieve the company's business targets.
The Vice President of Corporate Communication of Pertamina stated that amidst the dynamics of global challenges and evolving business landscapes, risk management implementation in every business process across all subholdings is crucial.
“The Directorate of Risk Management will focus on enhancing the role of risk management as a key driver of business growth and strategy execution for ongoing projects, aiming to prevent or mitigate potential losses and risks,” said Fadjar.
Fadjar added that the Directorate of Risk Management establishment is in line with the Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises (SOE)’s direction, ensuring that Pertamina has an organization managing risk both at the Holding and Subholding levels.
“All Subholding Risk Management Directorates will synergize under the coordination of the Holding Risk Management Directorate, thus collaborating to accelerate future business development,” Fadjar continued.
According to Fadjar, the Directorate of Risk Management will focus on several areas, including effective and optimal risk management covering the Holding, Subholding, and Subsidiaries, strengthening the company's risk management system and its utilization, as well as evaluating the ERM (Enterprise Risk Management) framework and integrated risk management.
Furthermore, Fadjar mentioned that the Directorate of Risk Management organizational structure establishment will also serve as a strategic business partner and integrated governance evaluation for the Holding and Subholding, both in terms of governance and Health, Safety, Security, and Environment (HSSE) aspects.
“The Directorate of Risk Management will also actively collaborate with Holding and Subholding’s HSSE to mitigate potential operational risks to achieve excellent HSSE performance,” concluded Fadjar.
