Dumai Refinery Operates Normally in Nataru, Pertamina Guarantees Sufficient Fuel and LPG Supply

Dumai, December 26, 2021 – Pertamina through Subholding Refining & Petrochemical, PT Kilang Pertamina International (PT KPI) Refinery Unit Dumai ensures the refinery continues to operate normally and produce refined products needed by the community. 

PT KPI Refinery Unit Dumai is one of the largest refineries in Sumatra located in two locations, namely Dumai and Sungai Pakning. Its production capacity reaches 170,000 barrels per day. The products produced range from Premium, Solar, Pertalite, LPG, Avtur, to Green Coke. 

Oil processed by PT KPI Refinery Unit Dumai is focused on meeting energy needs, especially in Sumatra. The delivery modes of oil products include pipelines, tankers, to ships.

General Manager of PT KPI Refinery Unit Dumai, Permono Avianto, explained that currently, the refinery is operating normally in producing refined oil to meet national energy needs. 

"All workers are committed to maintain refinery operations, both during normal times and an estimated increase in public demand for fuel and LPG, such as at Christmas and the new year," said Permono.

Permono asked the public not to panic and remain wise in consuming fuel (BBM) during the Christmas and New Year holidays. "We hope that the community will be calm and wise in choosing and buying fuel and LPG as needed. Dumai and Sungai Pakning refinery operations continue to run normally in meeting fuel and LPG needs to the community," he concluded.**
