Jakarta, April 10, 2023 - The CEO of PT Pertamina International Shipping (PIS) made a working visit or Management Walk Through (MWT) to a ship owned by PIS. This visit was to appreciate the fleet's performance as well as to re-emphasize the Health, Safety, Security, and Environment (HSSE) culture to improve the quality of performance.
MWT's visit was done by PIS CEO Yoki Firnandi to the MT Pengalengan ship anchored in Plaju, South Sumatra, last March.
During the visit to the MT Pengalengan ship, the CEO of PIS, Yoki Firnandi, was accompanied by the Corporate Secretary of PIS, Muh. Aryomekka Firdaus, VP of Strategic Planning & Business Development, Kiagus Muhammad Syahid Nurhaznan, and GM of Marine Business & Operation Region I, Joko Pramono.
Besides holding questions and answers with the ship's crew, in this MWT, Yoki re-emphasized the importance of discipline in HSSE implementation.
"Regarding HSSE, there is no tolerance, HSSE culture must become our core value in carrying out company duties, so I hope all officers can implement a culture of obedience and care," Yoki said.
The management and directors of SH IML are always committed to upholding HSSE. He asked for rewards to be given to officers who are disciplined in complying with HSSE and consequences for those who violate them.
"Make HSSE a foundation in business processes, there is no pride when SH IML has big profits, but there are accidents."
Yoki reiterated that the HSSE implementation is not only to protect the company but also the workers as individuals.**
