Jakarta, October 1, 2021 – The South Sulawesi Sidenreng Rappang (Sidrap) District Prosecutor has issued a 10-month prison sentence for Pertamina employee recruitment fraud. The defendant was convicted in a criminal case of ITE (Information, and Electronic Transactions) in the form of fraud with MO (Modus Operandi) of PT Pertamina (Persero) employee recruitment.
The defendant with the initials LM, who was claiming to be Heri Muliawan in his action, was charged violating Article 52 paragraph 1 Article 35 Law No. 19 of 2016, regarding Amendments to Law No. 11 of 2008 concerning information and electronic transactions. LM has been found guilty with a 10-month prison sentence.
Acting Senior Vice President (SVP) of Corporate Communications and Investor Relations (CCIR) of PT Pertamina (Persero), Fajriyah Usman said that Pertaminaappreciates and respects the decision of Sidenreng Rappang(Sidrap) District Prosecutor who has evicted the defendant of fraudulent recruitment of Pertamina employees.
“Every act of fraud in the name of Pertamina will face the law. Hopefully, this can be a lesson so that no one will do similar acts in the future,” said Fajriyah.
Fajriyah added that during the process, Pertamina fully supports the investigation process carried out by the National Police-Criminal Investigation Agency. Pertamina has given authority to 4 Pertamina employees, namely Sarjono, NurhadiPurwanto, R. Sanatha Ariwardhana, and Aji Haryotomo. The four of them were authorized jointly and individually to represent Pertamina in submitting evidence, fulfilling and signing Minutes, so that the legal process can run smoothly to completion.
