Jakarta, March 13, 2021 - Coaching micro and small enterprises (MSE) to upgrade is the focus and main goal of the Pertamina Partnership Program. In realizing that, a development roadmap was implemented starting from Go Modern, Go Digital, and Go Online to become a Glo Global MSEs. This coaching is carried out in a structured and massive manner, even in this pandemic.
This coaching has been received by Tati Kartati. The owner of Kedai BUEKA MSE, who has just joined as Pertamina’s fostered partner in mid-2020. However, she has been given the opportunity to participate in two major events of the Pertamina Partnership Program. "In September we participated on Pertamina SMEXPO, then followed on Pertamina UMKM Academy," she said.
This extraordinary opportunity helped to boost Tati's business. Previously, Kedai BUEKA or Bina Usaha Ekonomi Keluarga ‘Aisyiyah was only engaged in the sale of staple food. "We opened a branch of 'Aisyiyah in each sub-district, namely: Kedai BUEKA in West, North, South, East and City of Balikpapan Districts.
After becoming Pertamina's fostered partner, Kedai BUEKA expanded its business by producing Abon Ikan Asin Layur which becomes the superior product of this MSE. This effort also succeeded in increasing the sales turnover. With an initial capital of IDR 5 million per unit, Kedai BUEKA is able to get a profit of IDR 50 million per unit. "This is all thanks to the capital assistance from Pertamina," she said.
Currently, Tati is the Head of 'Aisyiyah Economic Council in Balikpapan City. She has a program to assist and revive the businesses of 'Aisyiyah members. "Because, the economy must be developed from the most basic level, namely improving the family economy," she said. This is in line with SDGs point 8, which is providing decent work and supporting economic growth and supporting the implementation of ESG in the social sector.
In terms of marketing, this business that is located in Ahmad Yani Street, Gunungsari Ilir, Balikpapan Tengah District, Balikpapan City, East Balikpapan, is supported by ‘Aisyiyah’s brances in 7 Provinces in Indonesia. In running her business, she is assisted by 3 permanent employees and several freelancers in production and packaging. All of them are housewives around her neighbourhood.
Senior Vice President of Corporate Communications & Investor Relations of Pertamina, Agus Suprijanto added, Pertamina appreciates the business that is being carried out by Tati. According to him, this effort has helped many people by the jobs provided.
