Encouraged to Go Global in 3 Years, Rumah BUMN Pertamina Held Business Coaching for 53 Chosen MSMEs

Jakarta, November 3, 2020 – PT Pertamina (Persero) commitment to encourage small business owners' development through Rumah BUMN (RB) Pertamina continues. Several special programs to accelerate the MSMEs to upgrade is once again implemented. This time, RB Pertamina held MSMEs Business Incubation Program for four months that started at the end of October.

Vice President of Corporate Communication of Pertamina, Fajriyah Usman, said that the program is designed to create MSMEs that are transformed from Modern MSMEs to become Global MSMEs during the three years of the program. "The program's output is to create MSMES business incubation participants that are ready to Go Global. Not only marketing domestically, but can penetrate the international market," she said.

The program, which is devoted to MSMEs who are RB Pertamina members, will be held for four months. Starting on October 27 and ending on February 15, 2021. This program was considered quite exclusive, as participants who participated were limited. "After a team of entrepreneurship experts carried out a rigorous selection, 53 MSMEs from 29 RB Pertamina were selected in several regions in Indonesia," added Fajriyah.

During those four months, continued Fajriyah, participants will be given material by mentors who have expertise in their respective fields. Coach Boedi Santoso will deliver Business and Goal, and Coach Ainur Rofiq will deliver Product Design and Branding. Then, Coach Taka Liwungang will deliver Digital Marketing, and finally, Personal Branding & Entrepreneur Leadership will be guided by Coach Ria R. Christiana.

The benefits that can be felt by these selected MSMEs are quite a lot. Such as adding essential and relevant insights and knowledge in business development. Get the opportunity for product re-branding and communication design for free for selected MSMEs and expand business networks and opportunities into developing business both at home and abroad.

Fajriyah hopes that the 53 selected MSMEs participating in this business incubation program can make the best use of these facilities. MSMEs are asked to be proactive in consulting about the development of their business to their assistants. "With this communication, the coaches can provide input so that they can encourage the MSME business to be superior and develop. And of course, we can achieve the Go Global target in the next three years," she explained.

This effort is one form of implementation of the Goal 8 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to support inclusive and sustainable economic growth and a full and productive workforce. "Where it is expected to help people get decent jobs and encourage national economic growth," concluded Fajriyah.
