End of Homecoming Season, Pertamina Patra Niaga Successfully Completes Energy Distribution

Jakarta, May 5, 2023 - The end of the Idul Fitri 1444H holiday period and the long holiday at the end of April also marks the completion of the task entrusted to the Ramadhan & Eid Al-Fitr Task Force of Pertamina Patra Niaga. The RAFI Task Force, which was in charge of distributing energy during the previous holiday period, can be proud of fulfilling the energy needs required to support the travels of 123 million people during the homecoming season.

"After a month of preparation and implementation of energy supply throughout Ramadhan and E id Al-Fitr, on Friday, May 5, 2023, the RAFI Task Force 2023 was officially disbanded," said the Marketing and Regional Director of PT Pertamina Patra Niaga, Mars Ega Legowo Putra.

The 2023 RAFI Task Force faced its own challenges. The main challenge was an increase in vehicles on the road, which increased by 5.6% compared to the homecomign traffic in 2022, contributing to a 6.4% increase in gasoline consumption compared to the average consumption in March 2023.

"Nevertheless, compared to the RAFI Task Force 2022, the consumption had decreased. This can be attributed to the excellent traffic management during the 2023 homecoming traffic, which reduced travel time by 14% resulting in gasoline saving," explained Mars Ega.

Although gasoline consumption increased, the consumption of gasoil or diesel for both retail and industrial purposes decreased, with a total decrease of about 13% from the normal average. The demand for LPG and Avtur also experienced a slight decrease compared to the average, with LPG decreasing by 1% and Avtur decreasing by 0.6%.

"This indicates that the majority of homecoming travelers use land transportation. Although the Avtur consumption decreased compared to normal consumption, if compared to the RAFI Task Force 2022, the Avtur consumption in the RAFI Task Force 2023 increased significantly by 30%," added Mars Ega.

In addition to energy services, several Pertamina facilities supported a healthy, safe, and comfortable mudik journey. For example, the Rumah Pertamina Siaga provides rest facilities, play areas, and health checks before travelers continue their journey.

Mars Ega also highly appreciated the close coordination between Pertamina Patra Niaga and various elements and stakeholders in supporting the safe supply and distribution of energy for the people. He stated that all of Pertamina's regular and additional services would not run optimally without the sustainable coordination that was carried out together.

"We express our gratitude to Jasa Marga, BPJT, the Police, TNI, the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, BPH Migas, and all other stakeholders who have contributed to maximizing Pertamina's services along all mudik routes. There are several evaluations that we can conclude together, and our hope is that these evaluations can become Pertamina Patra Niaga's capital so that the energy needs services in the next Task Force can be even better," concluded Mars Ega.**
