Since 2020, Pertamina's UMK Academy has graduated over 2,353 MSMEs across Indonesia. Meanwhile, the Pertapreneur Aggregator program, which connects MSMEs with market opportunities and provides technical and managerial support, has engaged 300 potential MSMEs since 2022.
"The success of these two programs demonstrates Pertamina's commitment to empowering MSMEs, which play a significant role in Indonesia's economy. We hope this award will motivate us to continue developing and expanding the positive impact of MSME empowerment to the broader community. By enhancing MSME quality, we aim to create more opportunities for MSMEs nationwide," explained the Vice President of Corporate Communication of Pertamina, Fadjar Djoko Santoso.
Thanks to the success of these programs, Pertamina has received a prestigious award from the Markplus Institute. The recognition was presented at the Learning Excellence Awards in Jakarta on Thursday (12/5).
The award followed a rigorous assessment process, measuring the direct impact of both programs on MSME development, including improved competencies and positive changes in business conditions. Among them are evaluated through turnover calculation, productivity, and business sustainability.
"Through this award, Pertamina hopes further to expand the reach of its MSME empowerment programs so that more micro and small entrepreneurs can benefit and grow to become more independent and competitive, especially in the ever-evolving digital era," Fadjar added.
