Ensure Sufficient Supply, PIS Directors Conduct MWT "Arimbi" Ship LPG Carrier

Jakarta, December 31, 2021 - The smooth supply of fuel and LPG during the Christmas and New Year's holidays (nataru), cannot be separated from the reliability of the superior fleets that are always on standby to navigate the oceans to deliver energy throughout Indonesia.

One of the fleets that play a key role in the transportation and energy supply chain in Indonesia is the Arimbi Ship, an LPG tanker that belongs to PT Pertamina International Shipping (PIS) - Subholding Integrated Marine Logistics.

The ship was built in 2011 and is now 11 years old, has a length of 103 meters, and weighs 3,472 Dead Weight Tonnage (DWT) with an LPG cargo capacity of 2,500 Metric Tons (MT). For more than a decade, Arimbi as Pertamina's first LPG carrier has sailed across the nation to deliver LPG throughout the country.

Pertamina International Shipping Operations Director Arief Kurnia Risdianto carried out a Management Walkthrough (MWT) to the Arimbi ship which was at the Tanjung Sekong LPG Terminal, Banten, on Thursday (30/12).

During his visit, Arief met 22 crews on board and appreciated those on duty by emphasizing to always prioritize Health, Safety, and Environment (HSSE) factors.

"It is very important to uphold and comply with the HSSE Golden Rule aspects, including the Care Intervention Compliance (PIP) so that PIS officers are expected to know about the risks and dangers of fraud," said Arief.

He also emphasized that the crew or seafaring officers of PIS are at the forefront of running the company's business. So that the officers are expected to continue to improve their skills on an ongoing basis.

This was conveyed regarding the current Arimbi Ship being prepared to trade out to the international market, which is in line with the spirit of PIS, namely Go Global.

The Arimbi ship is currently captained by Captain Marthin Febrilyan Samarta, who has served since 2013. Becoming the captain of one of the key fleets in the nation's energy supply chain was a very memorable experience for Marthin. He hopes that his and the fleet's performance to fulfill energy needs can help advance the company and become a superior player in global competition.**
