Expanding Energy Distribution, Pertamina Builds 4 One Price Fuel Points on Nias Island

Nias, September 4, 2020 - Pertamina continues to expand its energy distribution to the 3T (Disadvantaged, Frontier, and Outermost) areas by building four outlets of One Price fuel points on Nias Island. This amount is part of the 166 One Price Fuel points that Pertamina has operated from 2017 to September 2020.

The latest One Price Fuel point is located in the Sisarahili I Village, Mandrehe District, West Nias Regency. Pertamina and the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources BPH Migas on Tuesday (01/09) inaugurated the seventh one-price fuel at Bumi Tano Niha, with a tank capacity of up to 32 KL for premium and diesel fuel.

"This year, Pertamina is targeting the construction of two One Price Fuel points in the northern part of Sumatra, in the Nias region. Soon we will add two more points, bringing the total to four points. Of the four fuel points for one price fuel, three of them will be located in West Nias Regency," said VP of Corporate Communication of Pertamina, Fajriyah Usman.

VP of Corporate Communication of Pertamina, Fajriyah Usman, said in 2020, Pertamina is targeting to build 83 One Price Fuel in the 3T area. Pertamina is optimistic that it can complete this target.

"In 2019, Pertamina succeeded in building 161 points (from the target of 160 points) with the completion of 3 months faster than the target in December 2019. This year, amidst the conditions of the Covid 19 pandemic, we are sure to build 83 points of One Price Fuel," said Fajriyah.

The success of the One Price Fuel program, added Fajriyah, could not be separated from the support of the Regional Government and Pertamina Partners, who has helped accelerate the One Price Fuel program.

According to Fajriyah, this year, as many as eight distribution agencies have been operating in Sumatra, Kalimantan, Sulawesi, Maluku, Nusa Tenggara, and Papua. Meanwhile, 61 points are in the construction process, and the rest are in the licensing process.

Representing BPH Migas, Joko Kristiadi, said that building a Compact petrol station in the 3T area was not an easy thing. Given the geographic location and high transportation costs, it is necessary to ensure that the target is rightly designated.

"BPH Migas has set a Specific Type of Fuel (JBT) quota for West Nias Regency in 2020 amounting to 170 thousand liters for kerosene, and 908 thousand liters for Biosolar products. Meanwhile, the quota for Premium Assignment Type Fuel (JBKP) for 2020 is 2,6 million liters," said Joko.

Pertamina distributes the quota for fuel through 15 distribution agencies located on Nias Island, six of which are compact petrol stations. A total of two compact petrol stations are located in South Nias. One SPBU Kompak in West Nias, while the other three compact petrol stations are in Nias Regency.

West Nias Regent, Faduhusi Daely, explained the importance of the existence of one price fuel in West Nias.

"We hope that the construction of a compact petrol station in Mandrehe District will provide optimal benefits to the people here. Therefore, it can stimulate economic growth in West Nias Regency in general," he said.**
