Facilitating the Introduction of Pertamina's Official Industrial Fuel Tanker, Pertamina Patra Niaga Central Java Introduces a Tanker with QR Code
Semarang, May 8, 2023 - PT Pertamina Patra Niaga's Central Java Region has launched an industrial fuel tanker with QR Code to facilitate stakeholders in identifying Pertamina's official blue-colored industrial fuel by identifying the tanker data obtained from the unique code (QR Code) listed on the tanker's body.
Speaking at the barcode system socialization at Tanjungsari Port, Tegal City today (8/5), Region Manager Corporate Sales Regional Jawa Bagian Tengah PT Pertamina Patra Niaga, Christina Agung Yuni Ardi explained the purpose of using QR codes for stakeholders.
"Stakeholders and authorities need a way in the field to see whether a particular industrial fuel tanker is transporting Pertamina's industrial fuel or not," said Agung.
Agung added that the QR code on the tanker's hull serves as an identity or quality assurance that the fuel is official industrial fuel purchased from industrial fuel agents affiliated with Pertamina.
"Stakeholders can download the QR scanner application on Android's Playstore or iOS's AppStore. Then scan the QR code on the industrial fuel tanker's body," he added.
Agung continued that the QR code scanner needs to enter the name and WhatsApp number that appears after scanning. WhatsApp is utilized for obtaining a one-time password (OTP) sent by the system.
"After entering the OTP, the QR scanner will obtain information about the industrial fuel tanker, such as the agent's name, status, person in charge, agent address, the validity period of transporting industrial fuel, license plate number, and other vehicle identities," he added.
In the same opportunity, the Area Manager of Communication, Relations, & Corporate Social Responsibility Central Java Region of PT Pertamina Patra Niaga, Brasto Galih Nugroho, said industrial fuel tankers with QR codes provided by Pertamina's agents are gradually being carried out.
"In the initial stage, it is temporarily carried out with industrial fuel tankers supplied from the Integrated Terminal Semarang with the majority of distribution to cities/districts on the north coast (pantura) from Brebes to Rembang, including Tegal. Gradually, more than 100 industrial fuel tanker QR codes will be added from the Integrated Terminal Semarang. In the future, QR codes are planned to be added to industrial fuel tankers in fuel terminals in Central Java Region besides the Integrated Terminal Semarang," he said.
These industrial fuel distributors serve fuel purchases such as Biosolar, Dexlite, and Pertamina Dex for ship fuel and industrial fuel distributed using blue-colored industrial fuel tankers.
The fuel prices available at agents are industrial fuel products whose prices have been adjusted to the world oil price conditions or are economical.
Brasto mentioned that there is a price difference or disparity between industrial and subsidized diesel prices, but we also provide better services for fishers with boats above 30 GT," said Brasto.
If fishers with boats above 30 GT buy Dexlite products at SPBUN, they are required to use a drum. Meanwhile, purchases through industrial fuel agents are delivered directly to the port via industrial fuel tankers.
"Pertamina will continue to coordinate with fuel distribution agencies such as SPBUN and industrial fuel agents so that fuel distribution, especially diesel fuel for fishers and industries, can be fulfilled according to their needs," he emphasized.
Brasto stated that purchasing industrial fuel officially from Pertamina agents means contributing to the region’s development because Pertamina's fuel contains taxation elements such as Vehicle Fuel Tax (PBBKB), Income Tax (PPh), and Value Added Tax (PPN).
