Indramayu, April 10, 2021 - Pertamina is committed to provide repair costs for public and social facilities affected by the incident at the Balongan Refinery on Saturday (10/4).
Pertamina's internal team has verified 61 public and social facilities units in 6 affected villages, namely Balongan, Rawadalem, Sukareja, Sukaurip, and Tegalurung Villages in Balongan District.
Before the settlement of repair costs, socialization is carried out to representatives of the public and social facilities supervisor to inform the mechanism of damage assessment, payment, and accountability for the use of repair costs.
Attending the socialization were Regional Assistant II of Indramayu Regency, Maman Kostaman, Head of Balongan Sub-district Udi Mashudi, and Pertamina's team for the handling of social and environmental impacts.
"Towards Ramadhan, we prioritize repairing public facilities. Therefore, it can be used as soon as possible. Meanwhile, the repair for damaged houses will be settled as soon as the verification is complete," explained Head of Balongan Sub-district, Udi Mashudi.
It is targeted that the repair of public and social facilities can be completed independently in 5 days, starting on Sunday. We expect that people can use prayer facilities such as mosques and prayer rooms in the month of Ramadhan.
One of the public and social facilities management representatives who also received repairment fund, Suradi from the Kesambi Block, Balongan Village, thanked Pertamina for providing repair costs for the Baitul Muslimin mosque.
Meanwhile, the collaborative verification team is also continuing to verify damage to residents' homes. Of the 3100 reports, 2250 units have been verified, and the rest is targeted to be completed by early next week.**
